Transylvania

The first chapter - 2001 - Beginings

It all started in the Summer of 2001. This was our very first trip to Transylvania, to Huba's homeland. It was an adventurous journey, where we set off by car to spend a week in that beautiful country. In fact, we just roughly planned the trip and left the rest to fate. We slept at campsites or a parsonage, but we always woke up in beautiful places. It was a fantastic adventure and a memory that will last for a lifetime.

And where did we go?

Well, of course, in Satu-Mare (Szatmárnémeti), Cluj-Napoca (Kolozsvár), Sighisoara (Segesvár), Praid (Parajd), Sovata (Szováta), Corund (Korond), Targu Mures (Marosvásárhely), at the Red Lake (Gyilkos-tó), at the Lake St. Anna (Szent Anna-tó, in the Bicaz Canyon (Békás-szoros).

Although the pictures are a bit old, maybe that's what gives it all its charm.

We loved it.

The 2nd trip to Transylvania 2017

Many, many years passed before we returned to Transylvania. The purpose of our trip was to show our daughter her father's homeland. This time we visited places we had before, as well as traveled to other destinations. We have already booked the accommodation in advance, given that the three of us traveled. We had a warm welcome everywhere and certainly, the landscape, villages, and towns were still beautiful.

And where did we go?

Well, again in Satu Mare (Szatmárnémeti), Rimetea (Torockó), Sovata (Szováta), Corund (Korond), Likaskő, Lupeni (Farkaslaka), Zetea (Zetelaka)
